Clinker brick slip kiln successfully refurbished after more than 25 years of continuous use

In October 1995, the clinker brick slip kiln was heated for the first time and has been in continuous operation ever since. During this long time, the furnace has fired countless slips and angles, and over time has also undergone numerous optimizations. However, these were primarily related to the pushing capacity and the quantity of aprons on the kiln cars. Due to the ever-increasing demand for clinker brick slips, the company decided in 2018 to build another kiln, which was commissioned in March 2020. Now was the right time to give the first furnace a thorough inspection, just inside. Despite over 25 years of continuous use at an average of 1100 °C, only minor signs of wear were observed. The tunnel dryer, on the other hand, was rehabilitated with somewhat greater effort in the area of the ceiling. In the meantime, both kilns are back in operation in order to be able to meet the worldwide demand for clinker brick slips as far as possible without delivery times.
