FELDHAUS

Innovations, excellence and responsibility.

Stagnation is neither an option nor a perspective for Feldhaus. In the more than 165 years of the company's history, steady growth can be seen as the capital generated is continuously reinvested.

Feldhaus controls all processes such as marketing, sales and production from one location. Synergy effects e.g. with regard to customer requirements and the associated technical clarifications can be implemented immediately. Last but not least, the owners' close ties with the location also contribute to the fact that they continually invest in the most modern technology. The technological lead can thus be constantly maintained.

The modification of the corner setting machine in the years 2018/2019 illustrates the constant investments in saving resources. This project as well as the project "New construction of the third tunnel kiln" in Bad Laer, were subsidized by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the State of Lower Saxony (SER). The energy turnaround at Feldhaus is the current project with the aim of using self-generated "green" hydrogen as the key to burning CO2-neutral clinker. Our goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 55 percent by 2030.

QUALITY BENEFITS

Outstanding quality with the highest level of reliability.

Feldhaus stands worldwide for outstanding quality, durability, uncompromising reliability and innovative strength. Clinker bricks for impressive facades and surfaces - Made in Germany.

We work closely with the trade and crafts, partners and processors, and regularly check how the quality of the products is perceived in the market. With innovative methods we achieve continuous improvement of our products, customers in over 40 countries trust in clinker from Feldhaus.

BENEFITS

The quality and durability of our products, our innovative strength and reliability, and our extensive product range are the reasons for our leading position in the market. Our plants are equipped with the latest technology. As a result of permanent optimization, Feldhaus products, also in combination with thermal insulation composite systems, have conquered a leading position in the international market for energy-related renovations and new buildings.

As a reliable partner to the trade and crafts, we offer an extensive range of clinker bricks and are constantly developing new products to meet the latest color and style trends. One example of our innovative spirit is the production of brick slips in waterstroke look with the physical properties of a clinker.

In addition to brick slips and facing bricks, the product range also includes robust paving bricks and small pavers for mosaic formation. All clinker products are fired at temperatures up to 1,200°C. This makes them particularly resistant to all weather-related influences.

The beauty is that clinker bricks from Feldhaus gain character over the years, delighting builders and investors for decades to come.

CHARACTERISTICS

The quality properties of Feldhaus clinker bricks include, in particular, low water absorption. While conventional hand-molded bricks absorb up to 20 percent of water, the value for Feldhaus clinker bricks with a hand-molded look, for example, is only between two and five percent. Damaging weather influences cannot harm the clinker. The stone remains clean and does not weather, the surface retains its beautiful appearance and color.

A house should be cool in summer and warm in winter. It should have an attractive facade, which you do not have to worry about, defy the wind and weather, and also survive many generations without damage. With clinkers from Feldhaus, these requirements are easy to meet. Feldhaus clinker bricks protect and decorate new buildings in equal measure and meet the requirements of the Building Energy Act (formerly the Energy Saving Ordinance EnEV). With the appropriate insulation, heating costs and maintenance expenses for your facade are permanently and noticeably reduced.

Feldhaus clinker bricks are also perfect for old buildings. They are simply bricked with some distance in front of the load-bearing wall, without interfering with the existing building structure. Clinker brick slips are bonded directly to the existing facade using an ETIC system. This is how you turn old buildings into real eye-catchers.

QUALITY

All our products are subject to a constant control and quality assurance process. Quality, warranty and safety are the top priorities at Feldhaus. Every single Feldhaus employee - whether in product development or support - contributes to quality assurance.

At every stage of production, the employees of the Feldhaus laboratory have access to retained samples and material, so that the cause can be quickly determined in the event of quality impairments. The employees carry out quality protection tests on the burnt clinker bricks. The special properties of a clinker - the low water absorption of up to six percent and the raw density of the body of at least 1.9 kg/dm³ are assigned to a compressive strength class. Although the clinker is densely fired, it still has a capillary effect. The capillaries absorb water and release it again. This diffusivity is crucial for the wall structure and all weathering.

Our ceramic engineers are constantly experimenting with new clinker formulations in the laboratory. Products are tested in the small kiln and surface treatments are experimented with. Firing plates of new clays provide information on color and shrinkage behavior.

In addition to the tests performed by our own laboratory, we undergo independent third-party testing by Güteschutz Ziegel e.V.

Feldhaus clinker bricks meet the requirements of DIN EN 771-1 in conjunction with DIN 20000-401. Clinker brick slips are manufactured in accordance with these standards. Pavers comply with DIN EN 1344 and DIN 18503.
