Thin bricks are – as well as facing bricks – coarse-ceramic products which are made of natural raw materials and fired at temperatures of 1150 °C. Optically a façade made of thin bricks resembles to a masonry wall and regarding design thin bricks are as versatile and free in use as facing bricks. However thin bricks only have a maximum thickness of 25 mm which leads to many advantages:

  • Due to their light weight thin bricks may be applied almost everywhere.
  • The overall lower wall thickness results in gaining more living space while the insulation values remain the same.
  • When renovating it is neither necessary to build a foundation nor to extend the roof.

Building corners, window lintels and reveals are clad with thin brick corners. Thanks to the subsequent jointing of the façade they cannot be distinguished from conventional masonry walls.

Corners from Feldhaus Klinker are not cut from whole bricks but directly extruded in the shape of an angle. The development of this worldwide unique process is a huge progress in the manufacture of thin brick corners. There is no more brick waste. This process enables the manufacture of nearly six times more corners compared to the usual manufacturing process with supporting bricks. Natural resources are preserved which underlines the environmental friendliness of this construction material.

Due to the different colours, sizes and surfaces thin bricks and corners combined with an external thermal insulation composite system are a genuine alternative to the usual brick masonry.

For the so-called special angles, thin bricks are glued together almost invisibly or produced in one piece.
